Iron Meridian
★★★★☆ 4.3
Iron Meridian asks you to defend a crumbling frontier with units that always feel one short of enough. That tension is the whole appeal. Every turn is a small math problem about terrain, supply, and which flank you can afford to lose.
The interface is built for a phone, with big tap targets and a clean fog-of-war view. Matches save mid-turn, so you can put it down anywhere. Campaign missions introduce new unit types at a sensible pace and the difficulty ramps without sudden spikes.
It is not a fast game, and people who want instant action may bounce off it. But if you like quiet, thoughtful planning on a commute, this one sticks.
What we liked
- Terrain and supply actually matter
- Reliable mid-turn saving
- Steady, fair difficulty curve
